Silk City has revised and updated its selection of colors in its popular line of 3/2, 5/2, and 10/2 cottons. The color chart on this page is the newest colors available. We have all of these in stock. A shiny mercerized cotton, 1050 yd per lb, in a wide range of colors. This is an excellent cotton for all purposes. It knits as a sportweight, about 6.5-7 st/inch on US #4-5 needles. As a weaving yarn, it can be used for both warp and weft, and is recommended for beginners warp because of its strength. Used as a even weave, it should be set to about 10-12 epi. for crochet, it corresponds to a #5 or #6 cotton |
